Momtazuddin Bhuiyan, CHAIRMAN

Momtazuddin Bhuiyan has more than 30 years of experience in different Japan Bangladesh ventures.

* He was Assistant professor of Bangladesh Engineering University (BUET) for Naval Architecture department from Aug, 1973~ Nov, 1978.

* He was Representative and Surveyor of Nippon Kaiji Kyokai (International Ship Survey Society of Japan) in Bangladesh from Dec,1978 ~ May, 1985.

* He was the share holder Director of Showa Chain Ltd. in Chittagong EPZ from 1983 to 1993. This was the first joint venture Japanese Co. in Chittagong EPZ.

* He was the Chairman and Managing Director of Imam Fishing Ltd having technical collaboration with Nippon Suisan Co. Ltd. Japan, from June, 1985 to August, 2004. Imam Fishing Ltd., having 50% share of Seafs Bangladesh Ltd had 5 trawlers and the group was the second largest in the fishing sector of Bangladesh.

* He was the Adviser to Optonix (BD) Ltd. (now Luna Lite) in Chittagong EPZ from 1994 to 2000.As the adviser he had advised them in solving problems with various related Govt. agencies.

Social and Voluntary Activities:

Mr. Momtaz Bhuiyan is very active in various social commitments. Some of his social activities are:

* President, Asia Bunka Kaikan Dosokai for 4 terms, Secretary General for Bangladesh Marine Fisheries Association for 4 terms

* Joint Secretary General, Bangladesh~Japan Society from 1985 till Dec., 1999.

* Acting Secretary General Bangladesh~Japan Society from Jan, 2000 till now.

* President, Pakundia Samity Dhaka for 6 terms. President, Dhaka Japanese Language Institute Alumni Association (DAJLIAA) from April, 1982 till now.

* Chairman of the Managing Committee, Dhaka Japanese Language Institute from April, 1995.

* Secretary General, OISCA (a Japanese NGO) Bangladesh Chapter from Jan.,1984~Dec.,1985.

* President, OISCA Dhaka Chapter from January, 2006 till now.

* Advisor to JUAAB (Japan University Alumni Association in Bangladesh) from its inception in January, 2001 upto June,2007.

* Chairman of Managing Committee from 1996 of Gomail High School, Savar. Executive Committee member of SAHIC (Society for Hearing Impaired Children).

Besides his professional experience and social involvement, he has written numerous books and articles on different topics for the development of Bangladesh.

In November 2008, Momtaz Bhuiyan received ‘Order of the Rising Sun’ decoration, which is the second most prestigious Japanese decoration awarded by Japanese Government.

He did his B.Sc. Engineering in Naval Architecture, Osaka University, Japan and completed his M.Sc. Engineering in Naval Architecture from Tokyo University, which is considered to be the best university in Japan.



Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun), MANAGING DIRECTOR

Tareq Rafi Bhuiyan (Jun) has more than twelve years of experience in various aspects within the consulting industry.

* Tareq has worked in a Fortune 100 company in the USA called Nationwide Insurance for seven years as an Project manager. At Nationwide, he was promoted three times and won numerous awards for his outstanding performance. He worked on various information technology consulting such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software projects and web based applications.

* He co-founded BlueLine international LLC, USA in 2002. BlueLine International LLC is a successful IT consulting and software development business with offices in New Jersey, Ohio and Dhaka Bangladesh. His expertise includes Information Technology, Marketing, Management and business strategy. Tareq Bhuiyan has 10+ years of experience in consulting with more than 200 companies in USA, Japan and Bangladesh.

Besides English and Bengali, he speaks Japanese. As his mother Mrs. Kazuko Uematsu Bhuiyan is a Japanese national, he has special interest in Japanese language and Japan. He has visited Japan several times and in 1995, he was awarded 'Outstanding foreign Japanese language student' and he was sponsored by Japanese government to visit Japan.

Tareq Bhuiyan graduated with the highest honour of Summa Cum Laude (which is awarded to the top three percent of the graduates) from The Ohio State University, USA majoring in Information Systems and got his MBA from Fisher College of Business of The Ohio State University, USA. His concentration in MBA was business strategy and marketing. He also studied BBA in Institute of Business Administration (IBA) at Dhaka University for one and half years before transferring to Ohio State University.
